Mission : Cherokee Central Schools Child Nutrition Program will provide safe and healthy food choices for children of all ages, in a customer friendly environment, giving our children a head start in the 21st century classroom.
Nutrition Requirements:
Our staff serves foods that comply with the USDA Dietary Guidelines and North Carolina Nutrition Standards. This requires that meals be reduced in salt, sugar, saturated fat, trans free, and high in fiber. We diligently strive to improve the community's future eating patterns by shaping the eating habits of today's students who are tomorrow's adults.
